Islamic Economics

Islamic economics is the study of Islamic literature that identifies and promotes an economic system that follows the rules of Islamic scripture and traditions and which further advocates an interest-free Islamic banking system in the economic world. The main features of the Islamic economic literature are called "behavioural norms". The prohibition of interest forms the basis of Islamic fiscal policy.

Islamist economists portray an Islamic economic system which is neither Socialist nor Capitalist, but being the one which carries none of the drawbacks of the other two systems.
