About Ganpat University

A pioneering team of philanthropic and enlightened individuals led by Shri Anilbhai Patel and like-minded friends, soon came forward with the resolve to transform this dream, through Herculean efforts and committed dedication, into reality. Very soon the Team was joined by a large number of people, big and small, from diverse walks of life, to share the thrill and responsibility of building up the edifice of a huge academic campus in North Gujarat -Ganpat Vidyanagar, now the Ganpat University established under Gujarat state Act No. 19 of 2005. It is managed by Mehsana District Education Foundation - a private trust committed to discharging the service of providing quality education founded in june1996 by eminent industrialist, businessmen, NRI industrialists, educationalists and the social leaders of North Gujarat. It is named after Shri Ganpatbhai Ishwarbhai Patel, an eminent NRI industrialist, one of the founders of the university.

Facilities

Hostels - There are five Hostels constructed on the campus, out of which, two are for girls. Each Hostel is well equipped with modern facilities and enough access to air and light. All these architectural wonders have separate mess, administrative office and warden Quarter. Each Hostel -Block accommodates around 240 students, who are served delicious and hygienic food.

Wi-Fi Facility - The university provides Wi-Fi facility to the staff and students.

Staff-Quarters - Some more than 100 staff-quarters are built on the campus for the Teaching and Non Teaching staff serving various schools and colleges developed on the campus.

Guest House - Our guest house with two well furnished AC luxury suits and two deluxe suits equipped with modern kitchen and dining facility on the campus to host the VIP guests from AICTE, UGC, Government Agencies, Expert Academicians, other eminent personalities from reputed corporate and leading trustees from all over India and abroad.

Shopping centre - A shopping centre with around 30 shops is developed on the campus for the student living in hostels and people living in staff- Quarters.

Bank Counter - To provide day-to-day banking facility for the staff and students a Bank Extension Counter is established by a known and reputed bank- The Mehsana Urban Co-Op. Bank Limited.

Open-Air Theatre - To facilitate organizing National level and state level Technical and other academic and cultural events, an open air theatre is created on the campus with lush-green grass-lone with the seating capacity of around 10,000 people.

Transportation - The students and staff - Members who are coming to the campus from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana and surrounding areas everyday, there are more than 30 buses available to them.

The Gymnasium - A common gymnasium facility made available for all the college - students on the campus for their fitness and physical exercise.
A swimming-pool and Indoor-Games stadium is to be built up very soon for the all college-students on the campus.

The Campus Clinic - For the routine health- problems of the Faculty, staff-members and students residing on the campus in staff- quarters and Hostels, a Campus-Clinic is set-up with a qualified doctor with basic infrastructure-facility for the same. A Maruti-Van is also made available to the campus authority to be used as ambulance to rush to Hospital at Mehsana in case of any possible Health Emergence.

III and Placement Cell - The placement cell invites various companies every year for Campus Recruitment of Engineering, Pharmacy, Bioscience and Management students of constituent institutes of university. Industry Institute Interaction Cell [III Cell] is being established to provide close links with the industries of state and national level. This sort of interaction helps in getting suitable industrial training and placement for graduates and industry sponsored research projects for faculty members. Participation of experts from industry is regularly helping designing and updating the curriculum. Cell is headed by a full time Training & Placement Officer.  III Cell facilitates student visits to industries, industrial training, project placement & campus interviews.

Activities of the cell

• Industry involvement in Curriculum Design - In various academic bodies, there is adequate representation of industry expert which makes the curriculum rich and relevant to industries. III Cell imparts benefits to all components like students, faculty, institute and industry by interacting closely with the industries. Students are exposed to the real world and learn the needs of their future career.

• Industrial Training for Students - Training is the integral part of the study to acknowledge them for real world problems. Students are placed at various industries for couple of weeks and under supervision and guidance of respective industry personnel. The faculty carries out monitoring and evaluation regularly.

• Continuing Education - The activities of continuing education include the organization of workshops, symposia and seminars for industrial scientists and academicians. Industries are able to know recent developments and inventions in their fields and implement projects for technologically driven economy.

• Transposable Benefits - Through III Cell institutions and industries can come closer to each other and have barrier free interaction to understand each other’s requirement, so that suitably trained, fully equipped with need based skills, manpower can be supplied by technical institution to the industries.
