The Sumandeep Vidyapeeth was established by K.M. Shah Charitable Trust. K.M. Shah Charitable Trust (KMSCT) was founded Dr. Mansukhlal Shah, a visionary, a first generation entrepreneur and a philanthropic. The Trust bears its name from Shri Kanjibhai Manjibhai Shah, a small time businessman and father of Dr. Mansukhlal Shah. Established in 1981, the Trust had very humble beginnings. During the formative years, the Trust zealously rendered dental health care services at concessional charges to the poor and the needy patients. Free dental check-up camps were organized at regular intervals and free dentures were also provided to the poor and the needy senior citizens. Shree Kanjibhai Manjibhai Shah Dental College & Hospital was established in 1999 as a pioneering effort to promote education in modern professional subjects. The focus rapidly expanded and in 2001, Smt. Kashiba Jayshankar Pandya College of Physiotherapy was established. This was followed in quick succession by foray into general healthcare services with the establishment of Dhiraj General Hospital in 2002 and subsequently Smt. Bhikhiben Kanjibhai Shah Medical Institute & Research Centre (Medical College) in 2003. The Institute has commenced post graduation courses in dentistry and dental surgery (MDS) and Sumandeep Nursing College from the year 2006-07.  It is a Deemed University under Section 3 of UGC Act 1956. What once began with a small clinic with two dental chairs has today metamorphosed into an educational hub encompassing dental, medical and physiotherapy colleges.

Location - The university is located on outskirts of village Piparia, situated in the vicinity of Baroda.

Facilities

Hostel Facilities - Sumandeep Vidyapeeth has its own; high quality modern hostels, with round the clock security and pleasant surroundings. There are separate buildings for boys and girls. On campus hostels enable students to spend ample amount of time to pursue their academic study and hospital training Generally, the rooms are allotted on a first come first served basis. All entrants are therefore advised to apply for hostels as soon as they join the Institute.

• Rs: 20000+5000 Deposit – General Hostel Single/Double Seater.
• Rs: 25000+10000 Deposit - Semi Deluxe Hostel Single/Double.
• Rs. 35000+10000 Deposit – With A/C. & Without A/C Semi Deluxe Single/Double.
• Rs. 40000+10000 Deposit – With A/C Deluxe Hostel Single/Doubles.
• Rs. 50000+10000 Deposit – With A/C Deluxe Hostel Single.
• 24 hours running water + Mineral Drinking water + Hot Water facilities provided.

SKRC - The Sumandeep Knowledge Resource Centre (SKRC) is rapidly developing up to be one of the most sought professional education & research library. It started its service in the year 2004. All bibliographic details of books, journals and CD-ROM databases are accessible through the World Wide Web. The library has vast number of printed documents, and it subscribes to over 140 national and international journals. It has established contact with other organization for exchange of the Institute’s publication and inter-library loan arrangement. It has - Medical Books -11009, Pharmacy Books - 817, Physiotherapy Books - 219, Nursing Books - 404, Management Books - 975.

Mess and Canteen - Charges:

Daily Basis

1. B’fast : The Rates For the B’fast is Rs. 25.
2. Lunch : The Rates for the lunch is Rs 30.
3. Evening snacks : The rates for the evening snacks is Rs. 15.
4. Dinner : The rates for the dinner is Rs. 30.
5. The lunch and dinner included sweet will cost Rs. 35.

Monthly Basis

1. The monthly rates is Rs. 2300/-
2. No cut will be given to any students.
3. There will be no refund system.
4. The monthly payment will be advance.
5. After the validity is over, no one will be allowed after the validity is over, if any one wants to take food, they have to pay cash.

Half Yearly

1. The 6 month rates is Rs. 12000/-
2. No cut will be given to any students.
3. No refund will be given on any reasons.
4. The half yearly payment will be advance.
5. After the validity is over, no one will be allowed in mess.
6. After the validity is over, if any one wants to take food, they have to pay cash.

Yearly

1. The yearly rates for the mess is Rs. 20000/-
2. No cut will be given to any students.
3. No refund will be given on any reason.
4. The yearly payment will be advance.
