About Singhania University
The University has been established by the Singhania University, Pacheri Bari, Distt. Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) Ordinance 2007. It is a fully recognized university as per Sec. 2f of the UGC Act 1956. The campus covers an area of about 30 acres of land amongst the hills. Singhania Institute came in existence by the inspirations of Smt. Narmada Devi Singhanaia, mother of the founder Shri. D.C. Singhania. Singhania Institute was inaugurated on 29th June 2003 by a great visionary and a philanthropist, Shri D.C. Singhania to impart quality education of world class standards, reflecting the latest advances in the field of education and research with state-of-the-art academic and administrative infrastructure. It offers all bachelor and master degree courses in Science and Technology. Singhania University offers world-class infrastructure, highly qualified and dedicated faculties and excellent environment for academic and intellectual growth.
Location and Transportation - Singhania University is situated at Pacheri Bari, Distt. Jhunjhunu (Rajasthan) on the Delhi-Narnaul Singhana - Pilani Road. It is about 160 kms. west of Delhi and about 165 kms. north of Jaipur. The University can be reached either by rail or by road. The nearest railway stations are Narnaul (19 kms.) and Chirawa (45 kms.). University can be approached from Jaipur via Kotputli - Narnaul, from Delhi via Gurgaon - Rewari - Narnaul and from Jhunjhunu and Pilani via Chirawa and Singhana. Facilities
Hostel Facilities - The university is fully residential. Hostel accommodation is available to every student. The hostel is quite spacious and comfortable. There are three hostels in separate camps, one for boys, one for girls and one for under graduate students. There are two units of kitchen cum mess in the campus which is compulsory for all boarders. Every inmate of the hostel is provided with necessary furniture and other items for their comfortable stay. Common room facilities with Cable TV, Telephone and indoor games, are available in each Hostel.
Placement Training Cell - A full-fledged Placement cell monitors the employment opportunities and arranges campus interviews for the final year students. It is really amazing for students to have their "Appointment Order" even before they finish their degree and it is happening in Singhania University. The On Campus recruitment program keeps continuing till the end of their final semester, and then we help our students by arranging Off-Campus Interview too. Our management has a strong policy decision not to encourage the companies doing Education & Training activities to attract the students in the name of placement orders, by insisting them to do some course in their organization by paying money. It is also guiding students for - Career Counselling, Improvement in their presentation skills, Placements, Exposure to the Industry representative by having closed group interactions.
