About Sikkim University

Sikkim University is a central university which was formed under an Act of Parliament of India on 2nd July 2007.  It is located in Gangtok and is fully funded by the Government of India. The university campus is in its initial stages and is expected to be built at Yangang in South Sikkim district, about 56 kilometres (35 mi) away from Gangtok.
