Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University (JSS University) is a deemed university located in the city of Mysore, in Indian. It was established in 2008 under Section 3 of the UGC Act 1956 and is part of JSS Mahavidyapeetha, which runs a variety of educational institutions. JSS University is focussed on medical and health-related studies. UGC declared Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeswara University, Mysore as Deemed-to-be University.

Hostels Facilities - There is good hostel facilities both for men and women with spacious, comfortable, well-furnished rooms, hygienic kitchens, nutritious food. Students wishing to stay in these hostels are advised to apply in the prescribed forms. The campus has a bank and an ATM kiosk, plus a post office and a healthcare clinic.

Library Facilities - Every Constituent College has its separate library and information centres. And the sole purpose is to provide knowledge and to fulfil the concerned needs of both the faculty and the students.

Sports Facilities - The University provides good facilities for activities include chess, carom, table tennis etc. There is an outdoor sport which is well catered for and includes basketball courts and cricket and soccer grounds. It also encourages outdoor sports as part of the overall development of students.

Anti-ragging Committee - There are good and well equipped anti-ragging cell / squad in the Institute to deal with ragging activities.

NSS - This scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year, 1969. It is aimed at developing student's personality through community service; NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 levels working for a campus-community linkage.
