About Azim Premji University
Azim Premji University is a private university specializing in post-graduate programs. It was established by the Azim Premji Foundation. It is located on the outskirts of Bangalore in Karnataka, India.
Azim Premji Foundation is a not-for-profit organization with its goal to contribute to a just, equitable, humane and sustainable society in India. Azim Premji Foundation seeks to address these inter-related domains while keeping Education as a core area of focus. The Foundation does this through an integrated approach that contributes to a dynamic response.
Location - The University campus is located within the premises of the PES Institute of Technology on Hosur Road, Bangalore. It is spread over 12 acres and offers many facilities.
Azim Premji University Facilities
Library Facilities - The University library is located on the third floor of the main block and functions. The Library has good collection of over 22,000 books and subscribed to over 150 prints and online journals. The Library has spread over 8000 sqft space with ambience reading hall. The modern IT infrastructure provides the right ambience for reading and research in the Library. It provides access to its catalogue and e-resources through Wi-Fi technology.
Net Facilities - The University also has good net facilities with Wi-Fi connectivity.
Sports Facilities - There are good facilities in the University for sports both for indoor and outdoor activities.
Financial Facilities - APU provides financial assistance in part or full expenses covering the tuition in the form of educational loans and scholarships. It also provides financial assistance to working professionals who choose to leave employment in order to pursue their graduate degrees.
Anti-ragging Cell - The University has well equipped and built anti-ragging cell / squad for dealing with ragging cases strictly in case it occurred.
Research Centre - The Research Centre at Azim Premji University provides vibrant atmosphere wherein generation of knowledge is facilitated not only by promoting research but also by providing constant support to researchers in terms of mentorship and guidance.
Classrooms Facilities - The University has well planned classrooms, equipped with audio visual equipment.
Banking Facilities - The University also has banking services in its campus for the students and other persons.
