About Central University of Tamil Nadu - CUTN

Central University of Tamil was established by an Act of Parliament (No.25 of 20 March 2009). It was inaugurated on 30 September 2009. Currently, it is functioning from a temporary campus with an area of 5 acres in the Thiruvarur District Collectorate. It offers 5 Integrated Masters programs for prospective students in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Life Sciences and Doctoral Programs. The main campus is spread over 500 acres in the two revenue villages of Neelakudi and Nagakudi of the Thiruvarur District.

Central University of Tamil Facilities

Hostel Facilities - The University also manages hostel facilities in its permanent campus both for boys and girls.

Library Facilities - The University has well equipped library for students and teachers. It is a growing one with over 2000 recently published books and internet facilities. The library subscribes newspapers, academic journals, magazines and so on.

Internet Facilities - The University also offers internet facilities in the three computer rooms in the University, wireless internet connection.

Canteen Facilities - The University Canteen provides good quality vegetarian and non-vegetarian in the temporary campus for the University students and staff.

Anti-ragging Facilities - The University have a strong squad / cell to deal with these types of harassment activities with girls.
