About Rai Technology University - RTU

Rai Technology University is a Private University established by Karnataka State Legislature under the Act No. 40 of March 2013, published in the official Gazette under the Authority of the Governor of Karnataka under Clause (3) of Article 348 of the Constitution of India. The University is managed by Rai Foundation. The university focuses on teaching, training, research and development in the fields of Engineering and Technology, Health Sciences, Agricultural Sciences and Technology, Management and Technology, Natural Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences and allied sectors. The headquarters of the University is located at Doddaballapura.

Facilities at Rai Technology University

Hostels - Separate Hostel facilities for boys and girls are available. The Hostel blocks are aesthetically built and are situated amidst lush greenery. Each block has spacious, airy and well-furnished rooms with attached bathrooms. The hostels have double, triple both common and attached bathroom. All the students are provided with a study table, a chair, a cot and a cupboard for comfortable stay and studies. 24 hours security is provided at the hostel for the safety of the students.

Transportation - A full fledged transport department functions in the college to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. These college buses are regularly operated for providing transport facilities to all staff and students from different corners of Bangalore to the college and back. Free bus service is provided to the students of the hostel.

Clubs – There are various clubs for extracurricular activities in the University. These are unnati academic club, sanskriti cultural club, kreeda mania sports club, parisara environment and CSR Club, disha career club, krishi agriculture club, pragati utkasrh innovators club etc.

CIED - The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) has been set up to create entrepreneurial culture amongst the faculty and students to foster growth of innovation and entrepreneurship. CIED organizes Entrepreneurship Awareness Camps, Entrepreneurship Development, Faculty Development and Skill Development Programmes. It also initiates to develop innovative student projects each year for new innovative product development. The centre organizes Business Plan Competitions every year. It guides and assists prospective entrepreneurs on various aspects such as preparing project reports, obtaining project approvals, loans and facilities from agencies of support system, information on technologies, etc. Furthermore, the centre also facilitates interaction with entrepreneurs and creates a mentorship scheme for student entrepreneurs.

CSD - The Centre for Sustainable Development (CSD) provides information to people and raises awareness about the environmental and developmental situation. It also facilitates mobilization of people for sustaining a better quality of life. CSD works on issues of environment and development, advocacy writing syndicate, environmental impact studies of major development projects for mass consumption and contributing to policy change. In addition, CSD works towards conducting opinion polls, sensitizing people on their role in climate change and sustainable development. Another major initiative of CSD is also to sensitize students about secondary schools across the country, about the impacts of climate change and organizing environmental activities under Environment for All (EFA) to ensure environmental conservation.

CART - Center for Applied Research in Technology (CART) facilitates and assists in the advancement of high technology-based research. CART supports science-based and high technology research projects at various stages. It also facilitates the transfer of technology and business skills among the industry.

CCD - The Centre for Creative Development (CCD) is a non-partisan think tank and centre for leadership training, dedicated to making sense of and supporting the new maturity of understanding and decision-making, which is needed in all aspects of our lives.

CVSD - The Centre for Vocational Skill Development (CVSD) is involved in training educated youth in India by developing skills and knowledge necessary for pursuing opportunities in some of today's fastest growing career fields. It is involved in arranging training, re-training and skill upgrading programmes for educated youth and already employed youth. It is also involved in developing and implementing special training programmes for gainful employment or some other income generating activities.
