Mechanic Agricultural Machinery

Mechanic Agricultural Machinery is an agriculture mechanic vocational trade. The duration of trade is two years with four semesters of six months each. Applicants are introduced during study about matters that how to maintain services/repairs or overhauls different farm equipment such as tractors, power; and tillers, sprayers, drillers, etc. Other areas are examining and driving vehicle on road or runs engine in stationary position to diagnose troubles and defects; dismantles part or complete engine or unit according to nature of defects; repair or replace defective parts, reassembles them with prescribed settings, clearances, and timings and adjustments by further tooling as necessary and ensures accuracy of fit. Trade is very important as India is an agricultural country; most of the people are engaged in this sector for their earnings.

  • Applicants should be passed in 10th class examination with Maths and Science from a recognised school board.

  • Students should have good communication and customer service skills necessary for them as they are mostly in dealing with farmers.
  • They also possess mechanical aptitude, basic math and computer skills.
  • Applicants should have reasonable level of physical fitness is necessary due to the heavy tools and machinery a farm equipment mechanic handles on a daily basis.
