The Bihar Board Class 12 results were declared on May 30 and out of 12,40,168 students who appeared in the board exams a staggering  7,94,622 students failed.

This year, yet again, the topper of the intermediate exam is in controversy that has lead the Board to remove his name from the list of toppers.

Ganesh Kumar who topped in the Arts stream has been arrested for hiding his age. BSEB chairman Anand Kishor said that he fudged his age and changed his name to reappear for the matriculation (class 10) and class 12 exams. He had claimed that he was 24, but his actual age turned out to be 42. He is also a father of two children and his real name is Ganesh Ram.

An FIR with Kotwali police station has been lodged against him and the certificates of both the exams he appeared for has been cancelled.Mr Kumar was asked few questions by the media on music in which he had scored 65 out of 70 in practicals.
