D.M. Medical Oncology or Doctor of Medicine in Medical Oncology is a postdoctoral Oncology medical course. Oncology is a branch of medicine that deals with tumours (cancer). A medical professional who practices oncology is an oncologist. D.M. Medical Oncology course imparts intense training to D.M. candidates into the field of medical oncology and related subjects with adequate exposure to clinical and laboratory based activities. During the course emphasis is given on diagnosis of any cancer in a person, Therapy, follow-up of cancer patients after successful treatment, palliative care of patients with terminal malignancies and ethical questions surrounding cancer care. The duration of the course is three years but it may be more or less from place to place.

D.M. Medical Oncology Eligibility

  • Students should have an M.B.B.S. degree recognized from Medical Council of India.
  • Candidates who have Post Graduate Degree (M.D.) recognized by Medical Council of India or appropriate D.N.B. of National Board of Examinations, New Delhi.
  • M.D. Paediatrics or equivalent (including Diplomat of National Board in Paediatrics)
