Master of Science in Materials Science
| Duration: | 2 Years |
| Level: | Graduation |
| Type: | Degree |
| Eligibility: | Graduation |
M.Sc. Materials Science or Master of Science in Materials Science is a postgraduate Material Science and Engineering course. Material Science includes compounds, usually containing C-H bonds), which are the subjects of organic chemistry. Materials Science & Engineering is the science that enables the synthesis and application of materials in everyday society. Nearly everything we use is made of a material that has been modified or designed by a materials engineer to perform better than it would without a little help from humans. Materials scientists and engineers develop new materials and ways to use them. The program covers all the main types of materials and processing technologies and covers advanced subjects related to all the principal classes of materials (metals, polymers, ceramics) solid state physics and materials characterization with emphasis on biomaterials. The duration of the course is two years and its syllabus is divided into four semesters.
M.Sc. Materials Science Eligibility
- Bachelors Degree in Science (B.Sc. Botany / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry) with minimum 55% marks with Polymer Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Petro Chemicals / Environment & Water Management as the main subject and Mathematics and Physics / Computer Science, as subsidiaries with 55% marks in the main subject.
- Some reputed colleges and institutes do conduct entrance examination to get admission to their M.Sc. Degree course.
