Meghalaya Board of School Education is the main board of education in the State of Meghalaya. It came into force on 25th September, 1973 under the Meghalaya Board of School Education Act, 1973 (Meghalaya Act 10, 1973). The Board was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Late Captain W. A. Sangma on 19th October, 1973 in the State Central Library Auditorium, Shillong.
