The result of CTET held on 18th Nov, 2012 has been announced. The candidates who have secured 60% marks are considered CTET qualified. However the school managements (Government, Local Bodies, Government aided and un-aided) may consider giving concessions to persons belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons as per their extant reservation policy.
As per guidelines of National Council of Teacher Education NCTE qualifying in Central Teacher Eligibility Test CTET Test is a must for the candidates who aspires to be a teacher in classes I to VIII. NCTE has given this ruling under sub-section (1) of Section 23 of the RTE Act.
