CAT 2012 results declared; 80% of 100 percentiler’s from IIT’s

Much awaited CAT result declared today. Ten students have got 100 percentile scores, of which one is an undergraduate science student at Delhi University while other are from the engineering discipline. Eight of these students with the perfect scores come from IITs and five of the ten students are still doing their graduation.

Four girls have scored 99.99 percentile, highest score for this year amongst girls. These four girls, engineering students in their final year are from Karnataka, Orissa, Delhi and UP. In all 255 girls and 1640 boys scored more than 99 percentile.

In all a total of 191,642 candidates appeared in the 21-day long testing window from 11 October to 6 November 2012.

In terms of city wise performance, Mumbai has the highest 99 percentile scorers at 180 students followed by Delhi (168), Bangalore (157), Hyderabad (105), Kolkata (92) and Chennai (85).
