The wait is over for 13,000 students as the Class XII public exam results of the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education are set to be declared on Thursday at 11am.

The results for all the streams-arts, commerce, science and vocational-will be announced on May 2. Students will be marked with marks as well as grades this year too as the board transitions from the marks to the grading system.

The statements of marks and grades will be distributed by the board taluka wise on the same day as the results are declared. Students will be able to get their certificates of marks on or after May 2, as per the announcement by the heads of their school.

The results, that were usually declared towards the end of the month of May, are being released early this year because of the centralized National Entrance and Eligibility Test (NEET) for admissions to medicine and dentistry seats.

The Class XII results of the medicine and dentistry seat aspirants will be sent to the Central Board of Secondary Education in Delhi for compilation of the merit list.

The last date to apply for verification of marks will be May 30, 2013. For re-evaluation or reassessment of answer script and for supply of photocopies of answer books, students can apply up to May 14.
