Central Government introduced Maulana Azad National Scholarship for Minorities communities for facilitating research education among them

Central Governement has started a National Scholarship scheme for minoirty communities to facilitate research education like M. Phill and Phd.For availing  this facilities they need not to appear in NET or SET exam. Government has ermarked  Rs 15 crore for this financial year this scholarship named as Maulana Abul Kalam Azad National Scholarship.

According to minister of state(independent charge)for minorities affairs Salman Khurshid this UGC controlled scholarship will be given to 756 M.Phill and Phd research scholars.Out of this 30% scholarships will be reserved for girl researchers. Main point in this scholarship is that those candidates whose family income is less then two and half lakhs will be eligible for this scholarship however they have to be in the merit list of the contenders.For first two years(JFR) they will be provided with Rs 12,000 and for the next two years  the amount will be 14,000.
