The National Board for Higher Mathematics has invited applications for the Joint Screening Test used to grant NBHM PhD Scholarships to students for pursuing research for a PhD Degree in:
Scholarship Reward
Successful candidates will be given a scholarship amount of:
A contingency grant of Rs.32000/- per year and HRA allowance as per Central Govt norms will be provided.
Duration of Scholarship
The scholarships are for a period of four years renewable at the end of each year, subject to satisfactory progress
Eligibility Criteria for NBHM PhD Scholarships 2019
Aspiring candidates must have completed their B.S./M.A./M.Sc. (or equivalent) degree and have secured admission to a recognized PhD programme on or before 01st August 2019.
How to apply for NBHM PhD Scholarships 2019?
Aspiring candidates can send the applications made on plain paper in the specific format accompanying recent passport-sized photograph and a self-addressed envelope affixed with a Rs.5/- postage stamp to the address. The envelope containing the application should be superscribed NBHM PhD Scholarship.
However, the applications for Zone 1 will be accepted online at nbhm.cdaapuchd.in. Hard copies of applications will not be accepted in Zone 1.
The online registration will open on 10th Nov 2018 and hall tickets will be available from 05th Jan 2019 onwards
Selection Process
Candidates will be selected on the basis of a written test consisting of questions based on topics normally covered in Master’s Degree Programs in Mathematics.
The Pattern of Scholarship Test
The test will be of 150 minutes and will consist of questions with short answers.
Based on the performance in the written test, candidates will be shortlisted for an interview before final selection
