National Tech Excellence Award for Women 2022, Apply by February 15

Applications are invited from Indian women scientists and entrepreneurs for the renowned India National Tech Excellence Award for Women 2022, which will honor a chosen few for pursuing, prevailing, generating an impact, and carving out stories of inspiration for future young girls.

The interested and aspiring women candidates will be able to apply by February 15, 2022.

Why was the award instituted?

The Technology Development Board instituted this award to honor the outstanding contribution of women scientists and entrepreneurs in commercializing innovative indigenous technologies and it will be presented on International Women's Day on March 8, 2022.

Categories and Reward money?

The India National Tech Excellence Award for Women 2022 will be awarded under two categories:

• National Women Scientist Award for Excellence in Translational Research and
• National Women Entrepreneur Award.

These categories will further have subcategories of

• Senior (45 years and above) and
• Young (Below 45 years).

The awardees will win a cash price of

• Rs 3 Lakh and
• Rs 1 Lakh

For senior and young, respectively, and the number of awards will be two in each category.
