DST to offer Scholarship for top 1% students, qualified Class XII Board Examination

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of  India decided to offer scholarships to the students who qualified the Class XII board Examination 2013 and obtained cut off marks within the top 1 %.  The scholarship will be delivered under  the Innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired  Research (INSPIRE) to the students who have given the Class XII of academic session ending March/April 2013.

Top 1% involves the students who attained cutoff score 473 excluding the 6th Additional subject. The candidates of the Central Board of Secondary Education, Delhi who fulfil the criteria are eligible for this scholarship.

The candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria and enrolled in programs in Basic and Natural  Science courses at B. Sc. /Integrated M.Sc. Or M.S. Levels will receive a Scholarship for Higher Education under which students get GOI valued at Rs. 80,000 per year for five years.
