FICA invites application for providing research grant to scholars of Contemporary Indian Arts

Researchers in the field of visual arts, Indian modern and contemporary arts, specifically, are invited by FICA to apply for the grant that supports their research financially for one time.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Aspiring candidate must be 18 years or above at the time of application
  • The candidate must be a post-graduate in humanities

Note: Only individual entries can be made

Important: The candidate must mention the research proposal on which he or she is currently working and how will the grant be used for the same.  

Reward/Grant

The grant provides a sum of INR 2 lakh to support one independent research project a year by students or scholars anywhere in India.

Submissions can be made online only.

Other Important Details

  • The candidate must complete his or her research within a year's time period of the grant.
  • The candidate must participate in one public of their research, organised by the Ila Dalmia FICA Committee.
  • The candidate has to submit a final expense statement with a break-up of the funds received.
