BID or Bachelor of Interior Design is an Under-Graduate Interior Designing course. The bachelor of Interior Design course provides knowledge of building, construction, lighting, color, and furniture. Interior designing is very close to architecture as designing the interiors is dependent largely on architecture.

The course curriculum of Bachelor of Interior Design deals with the interior design of places and spaces like a commercial building interior, an interior of a home, a public building or mode of transport, a theatre set, as well as an exhibition stand amongst others. The Bachelor of Interior Design program introduces students to design principles, color theory, space planning, concept development, problem analysis, and design technology.

The focus of the Bachelor of Interior Design program is to generate awareness of the functional and aesthetic qualities of the design. While the majority of institutes offer it as a three years course, there are some which also provide the same with a duration of four and five years duration.
