Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (BUMS) is an undergraduate medical course. Unani is one of the oldest medication systems in the world. Unani medicine is an alternative medicine that involves the use of dietary practices, herbal remedies, and alternative therapies for the treatments. This treatment system is widely adopted in Indian medical fields. The duration of the course is generally three years but in some of the colleges is 5 years. The course is career-oriented in nature and opens many job opportunities both in government and private sector hospitals and clinics.
