B.Des Game Design or Bachelor of Design in Game Design is a four-year undergraduate degree program. The Bachelor of Game Design program's curriculum includes research methodology, game history, user experience, modeling, character design, environment design, programming, and game engine. Furthermore, students will be prepared with entrepreneurial abilities and a business mindset, enabling them to approach game creation from both a creative and a commercial standpoint. Students will have the skills and knowledge necessary to pursue careers as game designers, asset designers, art directors, level designers, character designers, concept artists, user interface designers, 3D artists, game programmers, lighting artists, illustrators, and cinematic artists by the end of the program.
Students will study the creative components of game creation throughout the semester and learn how to integrate their vision into a playable video game environment. They will work with design specifications, combine art and sound, and create interactive gameplay experiences based on technology and excellent interaction and communication concepts. Students will also improve their artistic abilities, inventiveness, and reasoning, especially in graphic design, sculpting, scripting languages, and application programming interfaces.
