B.Sc. (H.Sc.) Clothing and Textiles or Bachelor of Science (Home Science) in Clothing and Textiles is an undergraduate Textile Management course. During the study of it students acquire the knowledge about different textile fibres and their properties - both physical and chemical and knowledge on different dyeing and printing methods suitable for different fibre fabrics. Principles of weaving are also taught through the course on weaving where students learn the different techniques of fabric construction. It is also provided with the terminology, theoretical bases and practical competencies to analyze structure, function and behaviour of clothing and various materials including textiles and leather. The duration of the course is three years and it is career offering in nature.
