Diploma in Fish Products Technology is a 12th level Agriculture Science and Technology course. During the course, it is taught to the students of developing and strengthening human resources who have the basic knowledge and technical proficiency in post-harvest management, processing, value addition, quality control and marketing of fish and fishery products. This program also provides to trained manpower requirements of the food processors, skilled workers/technicians in the food processing industries, NGO functionaries/trainers, entrepreneurs, post-harvest/food processing departments of the states/central, rural educators, farmers, quality control implementation agencies, etc. Pertaining to its duration it is one year and as far minimum it is also one year and that of maximum is four years.
