MS Embedded Systems or Master of Science in Embedded Systems is a two-year postgraduate Embedded Systems program. Embedded Systems (ES) are playing an ever-increasing role in our society. These systems can be found in numerous products, such as TV sets and copiers. Embedded systems are hardware/software combinations whose purpose is to control a device, a process, or a larger system.
Because these products combine computer science (software) and electrical engineering (hardware), an integrated approach to the development process is required. This necessitates the development of a new breed of engineers that are proficient in both software and hardware. Control engineering, integrated circuit design, computer architecture, communication networks, and real-time operating systems are just a few of the disciplines in which students might specialize, as are software engineering and formal approaches for embedded applications.
