Graduation

MSc Chemistry or Master of Science in Chemistry is a Post-Graduate Chemistry course. Chemistry is the study of matter and the transformations it goes through. Physics is similarly concerned with the study of matter, but whereas physics takes a more basic and fundamental approach, chemistry is more specific and concerned with the composition, behavior, structure, and characteristics of matter, as well as the changes that occur during chemical reactions.

Part-time Master of Science in Chemistry programs are also available. The minimum and maximum durations are two and four years, respectively. The Master of Science in Chemistry curriculum is divided into four semesters, and the nature of the course is job-oriented, opening up a wide range of professional opportunities after graduation.

MSc Chemistry Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major / Honors in Chemistry from a recognized University.
  • Bachelor of Science General/Pass degree with Chemistry as one of the three main subjects with equal weightage.
  • At least 50% marks in aggregate or an equivalent grade for General candidates and 45% marks or equivalent grade for SC/ST candidates.
