Graduation

MSc (Genomics) or Master of Science in Genomics is a Post-Graduate Bioscience course. Genomics is a branch of genetics that studies the genomes of organisms. The field encompasses extensive attempts to identify an organism's full DNA sequence as well as fine-scale genetic mapping research. Intra-genomic phenomena like heterosis, epistasis, pleiotropy, and other interactions between loci and alleles inside the genome are being studied. A Master of Science in Genomics program lasts two academic years and is offered part-time by certain institutes. The curriculum is organized into four semesters.

MSc (Genomics) Eligibility

  • They must have passed a Bachelor's Degree in Science in any branch of Life Sciences such as Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Genetics / Biotechnology / Physics / Chemistry / Medicine / Veterinary Sciences / Agriculture from any recognized University.
  • Students having BTech degrees in Biotechnology / Computer Science / Information Technology / Bioinformatics with Biology at +2 level are also qualified to apply.
