M.Sc Materials Science or Master of Science in Materials Science is a Post-Graduate Material Science and Engineering course. Compounds with C-H bonds, which are the topics of organic chemistry, are included in material science. Materials Science and Engineering is the science that permits the synthesis and use of materials in everyday life. Almost everything we use is made of a material that has been tweaked or created by a materials engineer to perform better than it would otherwise.

Materials scientists and engineers create novel materials and methods for using them. The Master of Science in Materials Science program covers all of the major types of materials and processing technologies, as well as advanced subjects related to all of the major classes of materials (metals, polymers, ceramics), solid-state physics, and materials characterization, with a focus on biomaterials. The Master of Science program in Materials Science lasts two years and is divided into four semesters.

M.Sc Materials Science Eligibility

  • The students should have qualified for their Graduation degree such as a Bachelor's Degree in Science (B.Sc) in Botany / Biotechnology / Microbiology / Biochemistry / Polymer Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Petro Chemicals / Environment & Water Management
  • The candidates should have secured a minimum of 55% aggregate marks having Mathematics and Physics / Computer Science as the main subject in their Bachelor's.
