M.Tech. Atmospheric Sciences or Master of Technology in Atmospheric Sciences is a postgraduate Meteorology course. Atmospheric sciences are the study of the atmosphere, its processes, the effects other systems have on the atmosphere and the effects of the atmosphere on these other systems. The course offers a modern education for students with interest in human activity linked to physical and chemical properties of the atmospheric system. The program prepares the students for basic processes involved in weather, and to understand the major components of the earth-biosphere-atmosphere system and their interactions. Graduate students are expected to carry out original research in the atmospheric sciences and participate in disseminating their results at conferences and through the scientific publication process.

M.Tech. Atmospheric Sciences Eligibility

  • Aspiring students should have passed B.E./B.Tech. degree relevant subjects with 60% marks or its equivalent CGPA from a recognized university board.
  • In some of the very reputed universities and colleges, there is an entrance examination for admission.
