CENTA TPO 2024 - Centre for Teacher Accreditation Teaching Professionals' Olympiad acronym CENTA TPO is a unique national competition to reward, recognize and celebrate teachers. This exam is held in 14 subject tracks and 4 languages (English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu).

CENTA TPO Exam 2024 Syllabus

CENTA TPO  will consist of questions from the following subjects Topics:

1. Subject Expertise

Topics covered will be themes of the chosen subject and grade levels, independent of the board and largely aligned with themes in the NCERT syllabus. With respect to grade levels, ‘primary’ broadly refers to Standard I to V, ‘middle school’ broadly refers to Standard VI to  VIII, and ‘high school’ broadly refers to Standard IX to XII.

The subject knowledge part of the section will include:

• Knowledge of content and procedures
• Conceptual understanding of the content
• Application of the content
• Knowledge of the purpose of content in the chosen subject

The pedagogical content knowledge part of the section will include:

• Pedagogical methods and resources, especially subject- and topic-specific, especially understanding and application of these
• Student assessment methods and the ability to derive insight into
• student misconceptions on specific topics
• Understanding of order or sequence of teaching various topics.

2. Classroom Practice and Professional Competencies

This section will test the following topics - knowledge as well as understanding and application, including situation response questions.

• Learning theories and child growth stages
• Diversity in learning patterns
• Pedagogical methods
• Classroom management techniques
• Learning objectives and lesson planning
• Student assessment: purpose, methods, and tools, deriving insight
• The relevance of technology in education (basic level)
• Professional competencies such as teamwork and leadership, interaction with parents and community, and understanding of
• common policies and student safety.

3. Logical Ability and Communication (Common for all subject tracks)

• Logical Ability

CENTA TPO Exam 2024 Pattern

• CENTA TPO will consist of Two-hour having multiple choice questions with no negative marking from the given syllabus as given below:
• Competencies tested are based on the Centre for Teacher Accreditation (CENTA) Standards.
• Computer-based, but the interface is very simple and does not require knowledge of computers.
• There will be three sections, no section-wise time limit, questions can be attempted in any order.
