CS Foundation Exam 2024 – Company Secretary Foundation Exam acronym CS Foundation Exam is conducted by the Institute of Company Secretary of India ICSI to form the base of the CS profession.

CS Foundation Exam 2024 Eligibility 

Eligibility criteria for CS Foundation Exam to join the CS course are as follows:

Educational Qualification

  • The candidates should have passed the Senior Secondary (10+2) examination of a Board / University constituted by law in India or any examination recognized by the Central Government as equivalent thereto.

Exemption from CS Foundation Exam

  • All graduates and postgraduates (excluding fine arts) and those having passed in the Foundation examination of The Institute of Cost Accountants of India or the Common Proficiency Test (CPT) conducted by The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of any other accountancy Institution in India or abroad recognized as equivalent thereto by the Council of the Institute are exempted from passing the Foundation Program examination.
  • Such students may directly seek registration for the Executive Program stage of the CS Course.
  • The duration of the Foundation Program is 8 months, excluding the months of admission and the examination.
  • Foundation Program students are required to pass the Foundation examination within 3 years from the date of their admission.

How to register/ apply for CS Foundation Exam 2024?

Interest candidates can register with the Board of Studies on submission of the prescribed filled-in form. The form can also be downloaded from the website www.icsi.org

 

CS Foundation Exam 2024 Fees

For CS Foundation Course

The registration and tuition fee is Rs. 1500/- which is to be paid at the time of submitting the fully filled-in application form for registration.

For CS Foundation Exam

A student has to follow the examination notification to be issued by the Examination Department of the ICSI and apply in the prescribed form along with the examination fee of Rs. 1000/-. 

The examination department will announce the examination centers and issue admission cards.
