Educational Qualification

• Aspiring candidates should have a minimum of 55% marks in master’s degree (any discipline) with a relaxation of 5% marks in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC categories for admission into the Ph.D. program in all academic departments of Gauhati University in a subject in the Faculties of Arts, Science, Commerce, Law, Management, Technology, Fine Arts, Engineering Science, and Medical Science or other professional subjects of the Gauhati University.

Exemption from GU RET

• Candidates possessing a valid score in CSIR/UGC-JRF, ICMR-JRF, ICAR-JRF, and DBT-JRF are exempted from appearing in the GU-RET.
