IIMC Entrance Exam 2023 - Indian Institute of Mass Communication Entrance Exam acronym IIMC Entrance Exam is conducted by IIMC - an internationally known centre for training and research in Mass Communication, an autonomous body under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt of India,- for providing admission to following given PG courses.

Post Graduate Diploma Course in Journalism (Hindi), New Delhi

Post Graduate Diploma in Radio and Television Journalism, New Delhi

Post Graduate Diploma Course in Journalism (Odia), Dhenkanal (Odisha)

Post Graduate Diploma Course in Advertising and Public Relations, New Delhi

Post Graduate Course in Journalism (English), New Delhi, Dhenkanal (Odisha), Aizwal (Mizoram), Amravati (Maharastra), Jammu (J & K) and Kottayam (Kerala)

Having the following given number of Seats:

62+62+15+15+15+15 in Course No.1

62 in Course No.2 46 in Course No.3 70 in Course No.4 23 in Course No.5

Five seats are available in each Course for NRIs/NRIs sponsored candidates, for which a separate prescribed application form should be submitted.

Educational Qualification

  • Aspiring candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

Note: Those who have appeared/are appearing in final degree examinations are also eligible to apply

Age Limits

General category: All the candidates should not be older than 25 years of age on August 8, 2017.
OBC: Candidates upper age limit should not exceed 28 years.
SC/ST/PwD: Candidates should not exceed the upper age limit of 30 years.
  • For the General category: All the candidates should not be older than 25 years of age on August 8, 2021.
  • For OBC: Candidates' upper age limit should not exceed 28 years.
  • For SC/ST/PwD: Candidates should not exceed the upper age limit of 30 years.

 

IIMC Entrance Exam 2023 Syllabus 

IIMC consists of questions from the General Knowledge of daily use.

The syllabus will be prepared based on the following-

IIMC Entrance Exam 2023 Pattern  

IIMC Entrance Exam consists of a written test followed by an interview.

The written test consists of Subjective questions from the relevant qualifying exams.

Mode of Exam

The examination will be conducted in offline mode.

Duration

A total of 2 hours will be provided to solve the question paper.

Type of Question

Descriptive-type questions will be asked in the examination.

Total Number of Questions

A total of 75 questions will be asked.

Language

The language will depend upon the program selected by the candidates.

 

How to apply for IIMC Entrance Exam 2023?

For Offline Mode

Aspiring candidates can apply by obtaining Application forms in person or by post. Application forms and prospectus can be obtained on payment of Rs. 1500/- for the general category and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/OBC/PH category through a demand draft only, drawn on any scheduled bank payable to Registrar IIMC at New Delhi, from IIMC New Delhi or IIMC Dhenkanal (Odisha). Request for application forms should be accompanied by a Demand Draft & a self-addressed stamped (Rs.70/-) envelope (27x17 cm).

For Online Mode

The application form can be filled out after downloading from www.iimc.gov.in. Each application form must be accompanied by a Demand Draft of Rs. 1000/- for General & Rs. 750/- for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PH categories drawn in favour of Registrar, IIMC New Delhi on or before the due date.

Important: The sale of application forms will commence at IIMC New Delhi and IIMC Dhenkanal from 10 March. Application form for Course Nos.1 and 2 is common. There are separate application forms/entrance examinations for courses Nos. 3, 4 & 5. Candidates who wish to apply for more than one Course will have to fill out separate application forms for each course they wish to apply for.
