IRDA Exam 2024 acronym as Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority exam also known as LIC agent Exam is conducted by the Insurance Institute of India every year all-India bases for recruitment of Insurance agents in insurance companies.
IRDA Exam is held throughout the year. Aspiring Candidates can apply 15 days before applying for the same.
Educational Qualification: Candidates interested to take the IRDA exam should be +2 from a recognized school/board.
Age: Candidates aspiring to take IRDA Exam should not be below 18 years of age, however, there is no upper age limit for taking IRDA Exam for becoming a LIC agent.
The Syllabus of the IRDA Exam comprises subject questions related to Insurance, loans, regulations, and their general application.
However, there can be some questions of numerical problems like percentages, discounts and loan calculations, etc.

Note: If the candidate wishes to appear for both life and General branches, he/she shall have to submit two separate entry forms, one each from the two sponsoring companies.
IRDA Exam is not held on a particular date or a particular venue. In fact, IRDA exams are conducted on the dates and venues mutually agreed upon between the sponsoring insurer and the Institute with a condition that at least 20 candidates are ready to appear for the examination.
IRDA Exam fee for each entry form is Rs. 200/- (Rs. 400/- for Life & General Insurance)
Requisite fee along with two photographs is to be submitted to the Insurance Institute of India, Universal Insurance Building, 6th Floor, Sir P.M.Road, Fort, Mumbai-400001l, through the sponsoring Insurance company.
The result of the candidates is declared within 5 days from the date of examination. Candidates who pass the examination receive certificates of having passed the examination in due course of time through their sponsoring insurer. whereas candidates who have been declared to fail in the examination should contact their sponsoring insurer to enroll for the next pre-recruitment test.
IRDA Exam venue is usually the place where the training is conducted. However, the Presiding Officer of the exam can change the venue and his decision will be final and binding.
