LIC AAO Exam 2024 Eligibility

Educational Qualification

For LIC AAO - Generalist: Candidate should possess a Bachelor / Masters's Degree from a UGC-recognized Indian University with a minimum of 55% marks in the aggregate in either of the Degrees. However, % this is relaxed to 45% in the case of SC / ST candidates.

Note: If any University awards grades instead of marks, applicants should clearly mention the numerical equivalent of the grades in terms of aggregate marks and then write the percentage scored out of aggregate marks.

For LIC AAO - Chartered Accountant: Candidates should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI)

Age Limits: Candidates aspiring to take the LIC AAO exam should not be below 21 years of age and have not attained the age of 30 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is as per rules for specified categories including SC / ST / OBC, etc.

LIC AAO Exam 2024 Syllabus

LIC AAO Exam consists of questions from the following subjects/topics.

1. Test of Reasoning

• This test would include questions of both verbal and non-verbal types.
• The test may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem-solving, analysis, judgment, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning, verbal and figure classification, and arithmetical number series, etc.  
• The test will also include questions designed to test the candidate's abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, arithmetical computation, and other analytical functions.

2. Test of English Language

• This is a test to see how well you know English. English language ability would be tested through questions on grammar, vocabulary, sentence completion, synonyms, antonyms, comprehension of a passage, etc.

3. Test of Numerical Ability

• Questions will be designed to test the ability of arithmetical computation of whole numbers, decimals, and fractions and the relationship between numbers.
• The questions would be based on arithmetical concepts and the relationship between numbers and not on complicated arithmetical computations.

4. Test of General Knowledge and General Awareness

• The questions in Clerical Aptitude will be set to test the candidate's perceptual accuracy and aptitude.
• This is the ability to notice similarities and differences between the pairs of names and numbers. Questions in Clerical Aptitude will also assess in addition to perceptual accuracy and aptitude, ability to handle office routine work like filing, abbreviating, indexing, etc.

LIC AAO Exam 2024 Pattern

LIC AAO Exam is an Online Test consisting of objective-type multiple-choice questions to be completed in 2 Hours' time as given below:

Note: There will be a penalty of 1/4 marks for every wrong answer. Candidates must pass each section separately and should also obtain minimum marks in aggregate to qualify for the interview. English language test is of qualifying nature and the marks in the English Language will not be counted for ranking.

Interview: Candidates in the ratio of 1:3 depending upon the no of vacancies will be called for the Interview.

How to apply for LIC AAO Exam 2024?

• Interest candidates can apply for LIC AAO Exam only through ONLINE mode by visiting the official website http//licindia.co.in within the stipulated time period as and when mentioned in the LIC AAO Exam notification. Candidates have to take care of the following point before applying for LIC AAO Exam.
• Candidates should have a valid Email id otherwise create a new Email id that should be in working for the duration of the project.
• Before applying online the candidate has to pay the fee at the nearest LIC collection Centre. After payment of the fee, the candidate should obtain the receipt and log on to http:/licindia.co.in for online registration
• After successfully submitting the application, the candidates will get a Unique Application Registration Number. The candidate's note/remember this number for future references.
• After confirmation of submitting the application, the candidates have to take two printout copies of the applications for future use.

Important: Candidates can modify the submitted applications on the specified dates.
