NSD Entrance Exam 2024 Eligibility 

Educational Qualification

• Aspiring candidates should have done graduation in any subject from a recognized university in India and abroad along with participating in at least 6 theatre productions.

Note: Students should have a working knowledge of Hindi and English.

Age Limits

• The age of candidates should be at least 18 years and not more than 30 years as of 1st July 2024.

Note: The upper age limit is relax-able at 5 years for SC/ST.

NSD Entrance Exam 2024 Pattern

NSD Entrance Exam will follow the pattern as given below.

• An expert committee constituted by the School will assess the aptitude and talent of the candidates and its decision will be final.
• The candidates qualifying for this test will have to attend a workshop for 4 or 5 days on the NSD premises for final selection. There will be two mediums to conduct an exam i.e. Hindi and English. Candidates can choose from them.
• Students selected for admission will have to undergo a medical test for physical fitness at NSD, New Delhi.
• A preliminary test/audition will be conducted at five centers, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Guwahati

Important: All selected students will be awarded a scholarship of Rs.8000/- per month to meet their academic and other expenses.

Aspiring candidates can apply for the NSD Admission Test by receiving the application form and prospectus (English/Hindi) by post, from:

Along with a crossed demand draft/pay order, payable at Delhi of Rs.225/- including postal charges in favor of the Director, National School of Drama, New Delhi.

• The application form can also be downloaded from the School website www.nsd.gov.in and these applications must be sent with Rs. 150/- as a Demand Draft.
• Candidates can also apply online by visiting at school website i.e., www.onlineadmission.nsd.gov.in by paying a fee of Rs. 50/-
