PUMEET - Panjab University Migration Engineering Entrance Test

PUMEET 2022 - Panjab University Migration Engineering Entrance Test acronym as PUMEET is conducted by the Panjab University for admission to 2nd years. It is held for lateral entry admission at the UIET, PU, DRSSBUICET and UIET, PUSSGRC, Hoshiarpur. PUMEET provides an opportunity for students who could not make it to the PU engineering institutes in the same year. Students enrolled in the aforementioned institutes will get an opportunity to upgrade their branch through the test as well.

For Admission to 2nd year of B.E/B.Tech. courses in the following institutes:

• SSB University Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh
• University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Panjab University, Chandigarh
• University Institute of Engineering & Technology, Panjab University
• Swami Sarvanand Giri, Regional Centre, Bajwara, Hoshiarpur.

Reservation of Seats:
The reservations will be in the following pattern:

• For General Category - 53.5% in each course
• For Scheduled Castes - 15%
• For Scheduled Tribes - 7.5%
• For Backward Classes - 5%

PUMEET 2022 Eligibility

Educational Qualification
Aspiring candidates should have pursued B.E. (First Year) from any Engineering Institute / University (including those already studying in engineering institutes of Panjab University Campus (es) or its affiliated institutes) recognized by Panjab University, Chandigarh with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. OR

Those who have appeared in JEE examination in the previous session are eligible to appear in this test.

PUMEET 2022 Syllabus

The exam consists of questions from the following subjects.

• Mathematics
• Physics
• Chemistry
• General Engineering
• Communication Skills

PUMEET 2022 Pattern

The entrance test will comprise MCQs from various qualifying subjects.

Note: There will be negative marking for wrong answers (¼).

Imp: Merit Criteria will be 15% cut off marks for General category and 10% cut off marks for SC/ST/PwD/BC category.

PUMEET 2022 Dates
The exam is normally conducted in the month of July.

The exam fee for various categories is as follows:

• For General Category Rs.2500/-
• For SC/ST/PwD Category Rs.1250/-
