Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur is the institute's third campus after Lucknow and Noida. Beginning with Seth Anandram Jaipuria's pioneering initiative to set up Jaipuria College in Calcutta as far as back in 1945, the commitment of the House of Jaipurias to providing superior quality education has only deepened and grown since then. It is this heritage spanning over five decades and four generations that distinguishes the institute from the others. Jaipuria currently offers two full time AICTE approved programs - PGDM and PGDM Retail. The pedagogy is unique and the lecture method of teaching is supported by innovative methodologies like live projects, case studies, role plays and presentations. A system of continuous evaluation comprising of quizzes, assignments, presentations and end term exams bring in the rigor among the students. Prowess, E-Views, e-Journals and other software are used in routine teaching.  

Jaipuria's management education programmes are known for their hands-on learning and academic rigour. Concepts taught in the classroom are reinforced by consistent industry interaction. The Programmes interpolate industry knowledge to academic curriculum, making it very effective in dealing with complex challenges in the real world. The state-of-the-art facility at Jaipuria is one of the reasons why this Business School is held in such high esteem. The curriculum is so designed that in the first year, it enables the students to strengthen the fundamentals in all areas of functional management and provides a holistic perspective of general management as well as lays emphasis on building communication, computer and quantitative skills. The second year provides inputs in the chosen area of specialization and is customized to the student's career focus and industry requirements. The three trimesters in the second year are geared towards an in-depth understanding of the respective fields of specialization. Thus, making the student ready to lead real life challenges.

The Jaipur campus is spread over an area of 5.12 acres spanning lush green lawns and with modern infrastructure. The building is a judicious mix of tradition with modernity and is equipped with all amenities. The centrally air-conditioned complex consists of spacious lecture halls, conference halls, seminar halls, auditorium, library, computer lab, faculty chambers, tutorials and administrative offices. The campus is fully air-conditioned with spacious Lecture Theatres Excellent Library, Computer Lab, Recreation Room and Auditorium. All lecture halls are fitted with the latest presentation equipments, OHP projectors, lap tops, Internet and intranet access and a sound system for providing a wholesome classroom experience.

Facilities

Teaching Pedagogy - The teaching pedagogy combines lecture cum discussions, cases, simulations & games, role plays, self learning projects/studies, field visits, group projects and also independent research. Needless to state that high quality facilities in the Library and Computer Labs support the learning experience provided at the Institute. Advance preparation by the students as well as active participation is required to further enrich the unique learning process. 20 percent of lectures in all the courses are delivered by experts from the corporate, thereby ensuring that all gaps between theory and practice are adequately filled. We nurture intellect and create holistic managers and good human beings, laden by values and concern for the society. The programme is challenging, the curriculum is rigorous and the selection procedure highly competitive.

Hostel - Separate hostels outside the campus are organized for boys and girls with excellent amenities, mess and recreation facilities. The accommodation is especially safe for girls with a 24 hour security.

Library - It is fully automated, air-conditioned and spread over two floors and stacked with books on a wide range of management subjects. The library has a beautiful reading hall, an information retrieval centre for accessing the web and an exclusive research centre for the more serious. The total area available for the library is 551 square meters. Information in both paper and electronic forms is available with ease. Subsidized reprographics facility for students enables them to make the best use of the library resources. The library is a software rich library with subscriptions of LIBSYS, DELNET, EBSCO and Emerald Xtra. It has 6000 books and 80 journals in paper form. The Emerald management Xtra provides access to 175 full text e-journals, 65000 full text articles on business and management and reviews from top 300 management journals. The EBSCO enables an access to 1100 online journals.
 
Computer Centre - The institute has state-of-the-art Computer Centre with 100+ nodes and multiple high end Servers. 24 Hours High-speed Internet facility is available through 2MBPS Broadband. The laboratory has the latest Operating Systems, Front End Tools, Multimedia Software, MSDN Academic Alliance subscription to the newest Microsoft developer tools, platforms and servers and Database like Prowess. A wi-fi campus makes internet readily accessible even at odd working hours and the campus buzzes with students even in the late evening. Prowess is the most reliable and empowered database. It contains a highly normalized database built on a sound understanding of disclosures in India on about 10,000 companies.

Seminar's/MDP - Jaipuria takes up consulting assignments for corporate bodies with the objective of improving contemporary management practices. Consultancy work also involves preparation of project proposals, monitoring mechanisms, baseline and end line surveys, project evaluations, impact assignment documentation for project formulation and policy issues. The Institute organizes National level conferences/seminars wherein eminent speakers and delegates from across the country make presentations and carry out intensive discussion on current business issues. This provides the students and the academic fraternity with a platform for exchange of ideas and acts as a stimulant for academic growth. It gives the students an excellent opportunity to interact with the industry practitioners and learn from the ensuring discussions.

Research Projects - Jaipuria Institute of Management has been given project Rajasthan Urban Sector Development Investment Program (RUSDIP) under Rajasthan Urban Infrastructure Development Project (RUIDP) by Government of Rajasthan. The project has the loan assistance from Asian Development Bank to economically strengthen the Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and empower them for decision making. The work is extended to 15 towns - Alwar, Baran-Chhabra, Barmer, Bharatpur, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dhaulpur, Jaisalmer, Jhalawar-Jhalarapatan, Karauli, Nagaur, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur and Sikar. Research includes Sponsored Research Projects, Collaborative Research, Academic Research, Case and Study Material Development and Industry Studies.

Fee Waiver Scheme - Any candidate securing a valid CAT score of 90 percentile and above is eligible for a fee waiver of Rs. 1 Lakh. Any candidate securing a valid MAT score of 95 percentile and above is eligible for a fee waiver of Rs. 60 thousands. The fee waiver (in both the cases) can be availed in two parts: Part One-50% of the waived amount at the time of admission to the First Year of the PGDM Program.

Part Two-Remaining 50% of the amount at the time of the first instalment to the Second Year of the Program subject to the following:

• The candidate should secure a minimum CGPA of 7.5 in the First Year and no "F" or "D' or "I" as original grade (before re-examination) in any of the courses, in order to avail the Part Two of the scholarship.
• The institute reserves the right of cancelling the Part Two of the scholarship in the event of charges of indiscipline and bad behaviour.

Scholarships & Awards - The first position holder in the admission merit list is eligible for scholarship of Rs. 60,000 (Rs. 30,000 each year). Second position holder in the admission merit list is eligible for scholarship of Rs. 50,000 (Rs. 25,000 each year). Third position holder in the admission merit list is eligible for scholarship of Rs. 40,000 (Rs. 20,000 each year). In the second year scholarship would be available to the first three rank holders on the basis of their performance in the first year of the program. Corporate Best Performance Award will be given to the academic topper in each of the 6 trimesters.

At the end of the term the following three Medals will be awarded to the students:

1. Chairman's Gold Medal for the first position holder.
2. Vice Chairman's Silver Medal to the second position holder.
3. Director's Bronze medal the third position holder.

Merit certificates and prizes are also given to those who rank first in each of the thrust areas, e.g. Finance, General Management, Human Resource Management, Information Management, Marketing, and Operations Management.

Student Exchange - In order to provide a cross cultural exposure and a global perspective to the students, JIMJ has developed an extensive International Students Exchange Network. A fixed number of students per term of study will be allowed in each academic year at the other institution. The intention is that over time an equivalent number of students will be sent in each direction. The University of Southampton, U.K. has been sending students at JIMJ for the past three years for about 16 weeks for the completion of their M.Sc. thesis. Visiting students add to the diversity of expertise at the Institute, and enhance the effectiveness of its pedagogy and the experience can contribute immensely to building of management perspective and poise. JIMJ has been seeking to establish an increasing number of exchange programmes with institutions with excellent academic standards compatible with that of the Institute and which provide varied learning opportunities for students and faculty both.

Lecture Theatre and Classrooms - The institute has an excellent infrastructure and modern facilities, which assist in conducting the various academic programs. The lecture halls are centrally air conditioned and equipped with modern audio video systems. They are designed to provide complete comfort for the intense hours of the classroom teaching and interaction.
 
Auditorium - A fully air-conditioned large auditorium, fitted with acoustic system and communication network can accommodate about 250 participants and thus makes it convenient to have sufficiently large audience for major events. The auditorium provides the right ambience for national and international programs.
 
Canteen - Canteen facilities are provided within the campus to all the students. Great décor and mouth-watering delicacies make a popular handout for students.
 
Playground & Sports Facilities - The institute has an excellent large playground with Volleyball, Tennis and Badminton courts and a well equipped Gymnasium. The Sports Cell organizes sports meet once a year and different matches and tournaments are held throughout the year. The Campus has facilities for indoor and outdoor sports-TT, carrom, volleyball, cricket, and football.

Abhyudaya - A 2-day Management Convention 'Abhyudaya' on a current management theme is organized by the students every year. It provides an ideal platform for interaction between the industry, the academia, and the students.

Cultural Cell - “NICHE” the Marketing Fair, an annual event, is an opportunity for marketers to test various aspects of their Marketing Programs and gain insights into consumers' perspective. Research games are designed by students under faculty guidance and are administered in an atmosphere of fun, games, and food. It is a unique opportunity for interaction among students, faculty, industry and the community.

HR Conclave “CONCERN” - The Conclave aims to create a forum for leading HR practitioners and students to discuss the latest issues in HRM. HR professionals from many organizations are likely to be attracted to “CONCERN”, the annual event.
       
Wall Magazine - Maintaining a wall magazine keeps the students abreast with current affairs and also provides them a forum to present their own perspective. This exercise sharpens the intellectual abilities of the students and also promotes team spirit. The wall magazine would be an instrument to raise certain pertinent and contemporary societal issues which need to be considered by the youth of today.    

Corporate Resource Cell - JIMJ provides complete support to arrange for placement activities in the campus. The Institute has a Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) which, along with the placement committee, works towards strengthening placements and enhancing career opportunities of the students. It comprises of faculty members and a team of students. It serves the express purpose of building and keeping effective contacts with companies all over India. CRC performs liaison work between possible employers and the students. Prior to the final placement season the Institute regularly organizes interactive workshops with industry at its campus. It is important that the students do not take up any placement except those that they prefer because only then is the work done not just for the sake of duty but also with a commitment to continuously learn, grow and add value to the industry. Entrepreneurship Cell - The Entrepreneurship Cell at JIM, Jaipur in association with National Entrepreneurship network (NEN) firmly believes that emerging economies like India need the drive and innovation of young entrepreneurs. The Cell therefore aims at manifesting the latent entrepreneurial spirit of the youth. The Cell motivates the youth to start-up their own enterprise. The E-cell at JIM, Jaipur organizes various kinds of activities all round the year to promote entrepreneurship among budding entrepreneurs. For the last one year, JIM, Jaipur's E-cell, has been inspiring entrepreneurship in thousands of young minds through E-week celebrations like business plan competitions, lectures and workshops, seminars and much more.

Corporate Social Responsibility - Jaipuria Institute of Management, Jaipur, is committed to a shared vision growth, development, and excellence. Educational experience at JIMJ is a privilege for its students. At the same time it is enriched with activities that develop a philanthropic responsibility within the students. Blood donation camps, tree- plantation etc are regularly organized here. Clubs - The students of the Institute have set up four clubs to encourage debates as well as dissemination of new knowledge in the specialized areas of their interest. These clubs known as the "Finance Club", "Marketing Club", "IT Club", and "Talent Club" encourage students to have a hands-on experience on how events are organized besides furthering their knowledge base.
