Suryadatta Institute of Business Management & Technology (SIBMT) is approved by by AICTE, Recognised by Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India vide approval letter no. 07/08/MS/MBA/011 Govt. of Maharashtra GR No. TEM-2008/(254/08)/Tanshi 1 for offering Two Years Full Time Management Programe PGDM. Suryadatta Education Foundation was established in the year 1999. SIMMC campus is spread over a lush green environment having over 2 Lakhs sq. ft built up facilities at Chandani Chowk, Pune. A vibrant campus in picturesque surrounding with all required modern infrastructure facilities provides a stimulating environment & interesting intellectual alertness.

12. Spiritual Camp - The 3 - day Spiritual camp offers an opportunity to the students to actually be reborn. They are taken with a 2-hour drive from Pune to Naval Veerayatan to have a unique experience of understanding the true and intrinsic meaning of oneself and the ultimate truth about life and being. The idea is to inculcate social, spiritual and ethical values of life into the students' daily routine.

Shaping life with Yoga & Meditation - The students have an opportunity and a facility to learn the techniques of yoga and meditation under the guidance of a Guru who will enrich them with the ideologies of good health, a source of optimal well-being. Yoga & meditation will help the students to remain healthy both physically & mentally and prepare them to face the challenges of life with courage and conviction.
14. Commando Training Programme - Another vital philosophy in Suryadatta is " A Sound Mind & A Sound Body". With academics, the students are also given all possible training that helps in developing a sound mind and a sound body. One such activity is the Commando training; where the students are trained to develop the 10 Attitudes of Success. They are trained on goal setting and personality development and other similar activities, which at the same time, give them an enjoyable as well as knowledgeable break from academics.

Facilities

Orientation cum Induction Program- After a rigours admission procedure to help the new students to be at ease with the course the institute conducts Orientation cum Induction Program. During this program students get acclimatized to the learning environment at Suryadatta. The one week program comprises of series of lectures for the new students. It covers details of various activities, systems and procedures related to academics, field work, summer & winter projects, current affairs, emerging technologies, annual events etc. Industry stalwarts, Entrepreneurs, Project consultants, professional trainers shared their experiences with the students. This year, Minochar Patel one of the few Indian motivation of speakers and corporate trainers of International fame conducted the session with a liberal inclusion of motivating lectures, quotations, stories, role place and video play back.
    
Computing Facilities - These include well equipped labs, a state- of - the - art network connects every corner of the Institutes, high-speed servers running on a variety of platforms to suit all kinds of requirements to support the entire network. A 2 mbps dedicated optic fibre leased line and Wi-Fi hotspots enable round the clock internet connectivity on the campus. The computer facilities include 10 computer labs which consists of IBM servers and more than 600 advanced Computer systems, software for various applications such as Microsoft Campus License, Windows 2008 server, Windows XP/Vista, Visual Studio net with LSDN, Tally, Corel, Photoshop etc. Campus has Wi-Fi facility for students where the students and faculty remain connected all the time. The other software specifically useful for management students includes Peach Tree (Finance Management Software), Marketing Plan Pro (Marketing Management Software), Business Plan Pro (Business Planning Software), Employee Scheduling (HR Software), Statistical Package of Social Science (SPSS) etc.
    
Knowledge Resource Centre - In addition to regular text books / reference books, the library provides access to a wide range of information sources that include leading national and international business periodicals in addition to an impressive collection of business databases, corporate annual reports and CDs, Profiles of leading national and transnational organizations, leading national magazines, etc. The library is fully computerized and accessible on the campus LAN and operates on specialized library software. The user-friendly package facilitates issue and return of books, online access to the catalogue, and reservation of books. The library has adopted the latest information technologies like CD, DVD, Multimedia Kits, Barcode Scanners and Text and Graphic Scanners for effective use of the library services. The library has a wide range of resources. It includes text books, reference books, Electronic Databases, large collection of Video-cassettes, Photograph albums, CDs and subscription of Newspapers etc. Access to various e-journals & online data base such as different articles, abstracts and company profiles is being provided to the students and faculty members.

Hostel - Separate boys and girls hostels are available in the vicinity of the campus. Decent and affordable boarding facilities are available in abundance.

Industry Visit & Industry linkages - Periodical industrial visits provide an interface between educational &organizational environments. Industrial orientation is aimed at helping the students in understanding the practical aspects of what they study in class rooms. These visits help students to co-relate academics with practical world, as during these visits they understands/observes 'How Industry work'. During the visits students interacts with the various functional heads. This activity helps to broaden the perspective of the students.

Industry-Institution Interaction - Suryadatta frequently organises industrial visits, seminars and workshops where senior executives from the corporate world share their experiences. The institute provides a vibrant platform for Industry-Institution Interface in the form of Management Development Programmes, Consultancy, Applied Research, Internship experience and Event Management.

• Dual Qualification Programme - Suryadatta, due to its convenient timings has pioneered the concept of internship wherein students can work in corporate sector in and around Pune or can pursue their dual qualification while pursuing their education.
• Project work and Seminars - Practical Exposure is undertaken by students who choose a topic of their choice in consultation with faculty guides. They undertake literature reviews, prepare and pretest questionnaires and interview schedules, carry out fieldwork, analyse reports and make presentations to the faculty from time to time. Seminars are organised periodically to encourage prospective professionals to be adept in seeking and acquiring knowledge rather than having it imparted in the class rooms only.

To support this philosophy of Suryadattta, the institute organized business simulated Management games for its budding managers. During 2007, such unique game christened as "Chanakya" was organized. National Seminars & Quiz - Suryadatta jointly with AIMA (All India Management Association) conducted the second National HR Summit on the theme of "Compensation & Benefits Management at Mumbai. More than 200 National and international companies and institutes took part in the same. Suryadatta jointly with AIMA (All India Management Association) conducted the third National HR Summit on "Performance Related Rewards" at Pune. Various National and International Companies and institutes took part in t he same.

Personality Development Sessions - It is said that every Human being is a potential genius, yet many through the motions of the mundane life, blissfully unaware of their core competencies and innate talents. They need to be told about their inner competency. Therefore, they need personality development session. And keeping the need of corporates in today's competitive the institute continually conduct personally development sessions for Suryadatta students.

Out Door Management Training (OMT) - OMT is a unique training programme designed for the students of Suryadatta wherein the focus shifts from the classroom to Mother Nature, who is a master teacher herself. Through OMT , a series of adventure and outdoor experiences like trekking, rappelling, rock climbing, canoeing, star gazing, living off the land, etc aim to build one's leadership skills, teamwork abilities, decision making skills, crisis management skills and thus lead to the holistic development of the student.

Team work and Overall Personality Development - Students are given group projects and are encouraged to work together, study together and present themselves as teams. Through this they experience the challenges associated with the group dynamics and interpersonal communication. Suryadatta lays great stress on Personality Development. All students are exposed to unique modules of learning such as Emotional Intelligence, Business Communication, Problem Solving, Team Building and Group Dynamics.

Entrepreneurship Cell - The purpose of this cell is to acquire an in depth knowledge about entrepreneurship and to become familiar with the techniques for successful entrepreneurship. This cell has been developed to facilitate a free exchange of ideas and information among students and their mentor experienced in this field. To the extent feasible, students are made familiar with the concept of "earning while learning". They are trained on the grounds of "Winning hands of Entrepreneurship". They are provided opportunities for direct observation and involvement in entrepreneurial activities, enabling them to understand the challenges of the corporate world.

Scholarship & Trophies - Scholarships are given to the deserving students and staff members based on their performance. "Swami Vivekananda Trophy", is awarded for the best outgoing student from each of the Suryadatta Group of Institutes."Late Shri. Bansilalaji Umedmalji Chordiya- Trophy" - is awarded to the staff member (both in teaching and non teaching) category of each of the Suryadatta Group of Institutes for their outstanding performance.

Inter Collegiate Competitions - The students actively participate in various academic, co-curricular, extra curricular, industry based, cultural and sports related competitions organized by various colleges and management institutes in Pune. They have been among the top ranking performers in all such activities. They also participate in the best placement brochure, best summer project, best programmer and other similar competitions.
