About ACME College of Engineering

ACME College of Engineering was established by Darsun Higher Educational Society which is non-profit making organization to promote education. It is situated in the educational hub of North India of Ghaziabad in NCR region spreading over 13 acres of land. All the programmes are approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi & State Govt. and affiliated to U.P. Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) INDIA. AICTE approval letter no. is F.No.06/05/UP/ENGG/2001/19, dated 30th June 09, UPTU Affiliation letter no. is F.No.2336/16-1-2009-13(92)/2009, dated 21st July 09. Admission to various programmes is made as per the rules and regulations of AICTE, UPTU and State Govt. The seats are allocated on the basis of merit in UPTU, Lucknow through online counselling. The remaining seats are filled up as per the rules and regulations of State Govt. / UPTU.

Facilities

Hostel - ACME provides hostel facilities to girls and boys separately. The rooms are spacious, well ventilated and are fully furnished to provide an environment for comfortable staying and learning. Adequate security, telephone connection and ambulance are also available. The hostel provides excellent mess facilities at no profit basis to the students.

Central Library - The Library is spread over an area of 7000 sq. ft, and it has an extensive collection of books from indian and foreign authors, national & international journals, magazines, CD's and newspapers to support the multi-dimensional aspect of technical education.

Computer Lab - The Institute has an elegant Computer Centre which is equipped with system powered by Intel Core 2 Quad processors. The entire gamut is loaded with latest software and is supported by a set of dedicated servers. The students have 24x7 hrs access to the internet through most advance Wi-Max Technology.

Communication Lab - A professional must be able to share knowledge and ideas. Loaded with world class Language Laboratory Software, ADME has one of the most advance Digital Language Laboratory to nurture the communication skills of the students.

Drafting Studio - It is a place for studying art in the form of Engineering Drawing. The Drawing Studio is equipped with full sized drawing boards fitted with drafters, which is the core tools for acquainting students with drafting techniques like lettering, isometric views, sectional views and basic dimensioning.

Mechanical Workshop - The Workshop with a diverse collection of machine tools, hand tools and measuring instruments is housed in an area of 900 square metres.

The Labs facilitated in the Central Workshop are:

• Fitting Shop.
• Machine Shop.
• Welding Shop.
• Sheet Metal Shop.
• Foundry Shop.

All Shops have the best machine/equipments consistent with the highest educational standards.

Laboratories

The Institute has well equipped and latest Laboratories namely:

• Chemistry Lab.
• Physics Lab.
• Electrical Engineering Lab.
• Mechanical Lab.

Medical Facility - The Institute has a fully equipped medical centre to take care of the emergencies promptly. A medical practitioner is available on call at any time.

Sports Facility - Sports facilities like volley ball, basket ball and indoor games are provided for physical development of the students.

Transport Facilities - A fleet of buses is available with ACME to provide transport to the students from different parts of the city.

Counselling Cell - In order to have healthy interaction between students and faculty for academics and otherwise, a cell having competent counsellors is in place and is given the utmost priority.

Training & Placement Cell - The College management has established a training and placement cell from its inception to have interaction between the industry and students. The cell works in collaboration with the industry for conducting the industrial visits, training and final placement of the students.

Event Management Cell - The Institute management gives priority for activities like debates, seminars, group discussions and presentations for overall personality development of the students. An event management cell for this purpose has been established.

Scholarship - Every meritorious students are provide with Scholarships every year.

Pinnacle - It is the annual Festival of the College.

Cafeteria - The Institute provides excellent Canteen facility for students and staff to get good quality, hygienic and nutritious food.
