Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering was established in the year 2000 and is run by Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust. Alhaj. Dr. S. M. Shaik Nurddin founded the Aalim Muhammed Salegh Trust after his father’s name in the year 1990. to promote education of all types and grades among the people of the country in general and in particular among the backward communities with a view to accelerate the liquidation of ignorance, superstition and illiteracy. The Aalim Muhammed Salegh College of Engineering is functioning in spacious buildings with well ventilated classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, workshops with highly qualified and experienced faculty. It is spread over an area of 10.14 acres.

Facilities

Hostel Facilities - Separate Hostel Facilities for Boys and Girls is available. The Boys Hostel can accommodate 497 candidates while the Girls Hostel can accommodate 90 candidates. It has facilities like gym, reading rooms, library, mess, recreation rooms. Ample facilities are provided for students to participate in sports activities and indoor games like table tennis, chess, and carom. Food provided by the mess is known for its hygiene and taste, both veg and non-veg are provided for the students

Library - The Library collection includes 5065 titles of books, 17992 Volumes of books, 73 National and 80 International Journals are subscribed. It has a seating capacity of 120 people. The Library also has Reprographic facility.

Transport -  To make travelling easy, the College provides transport facility for the students from different locations.

Laboratories - Each department of the College has their own respective Laboratories.

Insurance - New India Assurance Company Limited is the Insurance provider of the Faculty and Students of the College.

Gymnasium - The Gym Hall is located in the College Hostel in about 1000 square feet area with all the modern gymnastic exercise gadgets at a cost of Rs. 2.5 Lakhs. The College Administration has appointed a trainer to monitor the students and also to teach them the methods of using the gadgets safely and usefully.

CPD Cell - Career Planning & Development Cell provides training to Engineering & Management students from the first year itself and impart various soft skills to enable them to acquire employable skills completely by the third year. The Placement Office initiates and nurtures contacts with leading organizations for campus visits and is functional throughout the year. The Training & Planning Division also provides counselling and guidance to the students regarding the visiting organizations, selection procedure, preparation methods & resources thereby ensuring that the students are adequately equipped to face the recruitment tests.

Banking - The College also has Banking Facilities.

Sports - Facilities for Football, Cricket, Football etc. are being provided by the College. NSS / NCC / NSO / YRC facilities are also being provided.

Canteen - Canteen Facility is also available.

Achievements

Mohamed Shaik Hafees, student of B.E (Electronics & Communication Engg), III rd year, performed the Guinness World Record for the Longest Yoga Marathon on 12/03/08 at Aalim Mohammed Salegh College of Engineering. The Record attempt was exactly started on 12.10 p.m afternoon in Seminar hall of the college, during the record attempt the staff members & students encouraged me throughout the attempt the record attempt was inspected by Public and attempt was open to all. The attempt was not done by anyone before. The attempt lasted up to 24hrs and was converged by the video and yoga master & public. On 13th March 2008 exactly at 12.10 p.m Noon the Record was successfully completed in the presence of Mr.C.Sylendra Babu I.P.S,(I.G Tamil Nadu News Paper Print Limited) & Chairman, Secretary, Principal, staff Members, Students, Various Media Reporter and New Paper Reporters. On 30th June 2008 the Record was approved by the Guinness World Records Ltd.
