Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology - VIFT established in 2008 is the first AICTE approved institute in Fashion and Apparel Design in India. VIFT aims to offer quality education in Fashion and Design with a view to produce creative professional designers to serve the fashion industry segments.

The Fashion Design Program prepares students for careers in Fashion Design for the Apparel Industry. The curriculum stimulates creative expression in all aspects of Fashion Design, including fashion sketching, creative design, computer applications, draping and pattern drafting.

Fashion Industry is a multibillion - dollar global enterprise devoted to the business of designing, making and selling clothes. As the economy progresses, people start desiring a better lifestyle. They seek products, goods and service those not fully functional needs, but also are aesthetically pleasing. This is the reason why the fashion industry has long been one of the largest employers globally, and it remains so in the 21st century. No matter where the goods are conceptualized, manufactured or retailed, the design and fashion industry continues to depend on human resources. Over 4 million people are employed in this industry which includes the following areas: design, marketing, distribution, marketing, retailing, advertising, communications, publishing and consulting.

The design and fashion – led creative business of tomorrow requires bright minds who think different, break rules, challenge, dare and are not afraid to tread alone and Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology prepares young professionals for the same.

Sports Facilities 

A 25-meter half-Olympic size swimming pool, 400-meter Running Track, State-of-the-Art Multi Gymnasium, Mini Golf-Course, Cricket and Football fields, Badminton Hall, Table Tennis, Billiards, Snookers and other indoor Sports. 

Accommodation 

We at VKP provide separate accommodations for boys and girls. Accommodation facilities for boys and girls are available in twin sharing formats with more than 250 rooms for boys and 150 rooms for girls in separate hostel.

Transport Facility 

VKP has its own fleet of luxury buses from various centralized routes in the city to provide an easy and secured access for students and faculties. 

On Campus Health Care 

To ensure students, well being away from parents, VKP provides great medical facilities with a team of Doctors available 24 x 7 within the campus for the first aid. An ambulance facility is available in the campus. The institute also has tie up with top-notch hospitals in the city to cater to any emergency

Banking and ATM Facility 

VKP has branch offices to Punjab National Bank & Allahabad Bank with ATMs at the very entrance of the institution, which gives all the convenience of banking services.

Library 

VIFT library is one of the largest specialized fashion libraries. Besides its vast collection of books, periodicals and trade publications, the library is rated for its Textile Design & Research and Textile & Materials rooms, which give students exclusive access to materials and industry resources.

VIFT has a collection of 3351 books & 1925 tittles encompass all subjects’ areas, with the emphasis on fashion, business marketing, designing and costumes.

Labs & Studios 

The institute promotes brilliance without boundaries. It has invested in the latest equipment to introduce the most recent teaching practices to the class set and is currently maintaining the following labs and studios.

Illustration and Rendering Lab 

The Illustration and Rendering Lab designed as the breeding ground for heightened creativity, unique approach and innovative perspectives.

Pattern Making Lab

Stocked with specialized pattern making tables and dress forms sourced internationally

Draping Lab

Equipped with a variety of dummies

Garment Construction Lab

Equipped with industry based electronic machines

Printing and Dyeing Lab

Allowing the students to understand and learn different dyeing and printing techniques.

Fiber Analysis Lab

Furnished with the specialized technology that includes all kinds of testing machines

CAD/CAM Labs

Well equipped with latest hardware and software infrastructure. With the objective of developing well rounded professionals, different software like Corel Draw, Photoshop, Poser Pro, Auto Cad, Lectra System, etc. are taught.

Fashion Studio

Equipped with the state of the art suspended chrome lights motorized backdrops, various accessories like diffusing materials, tripods, extensions and radio triggers

Periodicals

The library subscribes to 10 fashion magazines. In addition to fashion magazines we have publications for industries such as footwear beauty, textiles, jewelry and interior design.

News Paper Clipping Files

The library maintains an archive of newspapers and magazines articles covering the fashion industry.

Visual Presentation Materials

The library maintains a selection of visual presentation materials (e.g. Catalogs of props, mannequins etc.) used in a variety of creative industries.

Campus Facilities:-

Dining halls

We at Vidya Institute of Fashion Technology keep a close tab on the health of our talented students. Therefore, we have set up a total hygiene and healthy food provider mess where students and their faculty can get quality food at subsidized charges. The mess can offer service up to 250 boys at a time in the Amaltas Mess and up to 150 girls in the Eucalyptus Mess . Both the mess are equipped in terms of quality manpower and resources to provide variety of vegetarian meals and snacks. Both are under the direct supervision of the Mess Committee comprising of faculty and student representatives. Besides, proper meals arrangements, in both the mess students can watch television and catch the day’s happening on news channels or watch some informative programs for updating their general knowledge and understanding of this world.

Cafeteria

‘Healthy food leads to healthy mind’ VKP is committed to ensure that the students are provided with healthy and hygienic food. There are 3 cafeterias in different blocks of the campus. The cafeterias and other eateries are functioning based on the cash payment basis. The cafeterias are aptly named after local trees and shrubs in consonance to our commitment towards green environment.

Café de Palm, Gulmohar and Redchilies are vigorously checked for food safety to ensure safe and quality food at affordable prices.

Healthcare

VIFT has a qualified, skillful and experienced Resident Doctor in the campus to look after the health of students, faculty and staff living inside campus. The Doctor also advises the management on health matters.We have ambulances to convey patients to hospital 24×7. We have also tied up with leading hospitals to accept our patients.

Gymnasium

A healthy mind resides in a healthy body.A well equipped gym in the Vidya International Sports Academy having latest equipment and machines has ensured better fitness and health facilities for the students, faculty and staff members of VKP. Instructors and trainers are available throughout the day to train the gym enthusiasts. The membership to the gymnasium can be availed by all members of VKP by payment of a very nominal fee.

The Vidya Knowledge Park’s swimming pool (25 meters; six lanes) is located in the Vidya International Sports Academy.

Sports & Games

Vidya International Sport Academy (VISA) the most versatile campus with various activities and sports events conducted throughout the year. The students have access to various sports facilities such as basketball courts, badminton & tennis courts, football & hockey field (under preparation) and a cricket field. Students can also benefit from professional coaching available for Cricket, Tennis, Golf and Swimming.
