Modern Engineering and Management Studies (MEMS) was established in the year 2008. It was established for promoting the technical education in the field of Engineering for the aspiring youth. It is recognized and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to BPUT. The Institute provides well trained faculties with guest professors from IIT, kharagpur,industries and DRDO. The total in take is 240 students per academic year. All these programmes are approved by All India Institute of Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT). It also offers two years MBA course (six trimester) to award Master degree  in Business administration. The total  intake in MBA course is 60 students per academic years. This is also approved by AICTE and affiliated to BPUT, Orissa. It is built over an area of about 1,00,000 square foot of technical infrastructure. Its lush green campus spreads over 12 acres with spacious playground, lake, fitness centre, out door sports facilities, indoor games, departmental store and canteen.

Location - The campus is built at Banparia on NH 5 (i.e. Chennai –Howrah Highway) near Kuruda, which is only 5 Km from Balasore Railway Station and the Bus Stand.

Facilities

Hostels - The College provides separate Hostel facilities for boys and girls with all the necessary amenities.

Central Library - The Central Library of the college has a vast collection of over 21,000 information resources that include technical and general volumes, ready references, encyclopaedia, theses, magazines, CD-ROMs and newspapers. The Library has a big Reading Room for students with a huge collection of reference books and magazines. Daily Newspapers are also readily available for reading.

Computing Centre -  The Centre is housed in a state-of-the-art infrastructure with over 300 personal computers connected to the Internet, Intel based multi-user UNIX system, Windows Server etc. The Centre also has latest Software's, which include different Language Compilers, Operating Systems, Visual Studios and Packages for academic and administrative purposes. The Computer Centre provides advanced computing facilities to the academic and administrative sections of the college. The Centre meets the high-end requirements of the students’ curriculum by helping in conducting and supporting application development projects and other services.

Training & Placement - MEMS has an well organized Training And Placement Cell to help students in planning their career under expert guidance. Information about job opportunities and various competitive exams, for B. Tech. & M.C.A. students are made available to students through this cell. Efforts are also on to arrange campus interviews. This cell also takes the responsibility of enriching the skills of the students for a total personality development and to meet the needs of industries and high tech institutions. For exposing the talents of the students as well as sourcing for job opportunities in national and multinational companies, the college faculty members collect detailed information to know about the latest trends and future opportunities.

Other Facilities - These include huge Air Conditioned well furnished Class Rooms, Seminar Halls, Lecture Halls, various Laboratories with adequate equipments, Workshop, round the clock Internet Facility, 24 hours Power Backup for the laboratories etc. The campus has Wi Fi network which keeps the people of the entire campus connected at all the time.
