 This two-year program is aimed at individuals who are interested in pursuing a career in the fast-growth Media and Entertainment industry.

 Program Objectives

  • The program aims at providing inputs to the students relevant to the Media and Entertainment Industry.
  • To critically appraise a range of relevant theoretical business management concepts.
  • To demonstrate reasonable degree of proficiency in analyzing and interpreting information related to the various functional areas of management in the Media and Entertainment Industry.
  • To develop inter-personal skills required for effective management and implementation of solutions to business problems.
  • To update the knowledge base related to various business domains and appreciate their significance.

Program Details

The first year of the program consists of eight core subjects related to general management. The second year consists of two core subjects with four Specialization courses. The students have to undertake project work in second year of the program.

 Students will be awarded MBA (Global) with Specialization in Media and Entertainment upon completion of the program.

Examination Process

The evaluation system of the program is based on following components:

Annual Examination

The annual University Examinations will be held in the month of May / June for all the programmes. Supplementary examinations will be conducted in the month of December. Application forms for registration for the examinations will be sent in the month of February / March by the controller of Examinations, Annamalai University to all the students who have paid their tuition fees in full. Information regarding centers of examination, time-table, fees payable and other regulations governing the examination will be sent to the students along with that Application Form.

Assignments & Case Studies

The main purpose of assignments is to test students' comprehension and practical knowledge derived from the study material that they receive during the program. Assignments and casestudies carry 25% weightage towards final result. Students will not be allowed to appear in the Examination if they do not submit the assignments before the commencement of the annual examination.
