About Rangapara College
Rangapara College is established in the year 1979 and it was affiliated to Gauhati University in the year 1980. The College was brought under deficit grant-in-aid system from 01 -01-1987. The College was included under section 12(B) of UGC (Act.) from 20-3-1996. In the year 2011, the College was accredited ‘B+’ grade by NAAC. Location
The College is situated in the village Amaribari, about 40 Kms away from the district HQ of Sonitpur District and surrounded by lush green tea plantation of Phulbari, Amaribari, Hatibari and Nahorani Tea Estate.
College Campus
The College has a spacious campus of 41 acres. It has a large play ground comprising a football ground, Cricket ground, Volleyball court, Basket ball court and a Badminton court. A sports complex is being built with UGC assistance for all the indoor games.
Stream
The College offers B.A. and B.Com courses of Gauhati University and Higher secondary courses in Arts and Commerce of AHSEC. It is also a study centre of K.K. Handique open university and IDOL.
