The Aligarh College of Engineering and Technology (ACET) was established by the Jawahar Vidyalaya Society in the year 2001. It was est up with the main objective of providing quality education in the field of Engineering & Technology to fulfil the aspirations of young and aspiring students of not only Aligrah region but across the length and breadth of India. It imparts quality education in various disciplines of B.tech, MBA and MCA. ACET is affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), Lucknow. It's B.B.A. and B.C.A. courses are however, affiliated to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar University, Agra. The courses offered by the College have been approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi. It has an impressive campus in a self owned 10 acres of lush green land having a pollution free atmosphere. Well ventilated and aesthetically designed spacious class rooms provide a conducive environment with all the supportive technical aids like LCD, Overhead Projectors, Slide Projectors, PA Systems and On-Line Information Systems. The College has the latest audio-visual facilities with a state-of-the-art Computer Centre, Advanced Multimedia Training Methodology etc. The students get full opportunity to develop his/her personality and communication skills through Extra-Curricular and Co-Curricular Activities, like Educational Clubs, Cultural Societies and Student Councils.

Location and Transportation - The College is situated at 3.0 Km from Aligrah city on the Aligrah-Mathura Road. It is well-connected from all parts of the country through Aligrah Railway Junction of Northern Railway located on Delhi-Howrah main line.

Facilities

Hostels - The College has well-designed separate Hostels for boys and girls, accommodating 150 students. Spacious and well furnished rooms with adequate furniture provide the students with well a perfect, hassle-free atmosphere suitable for studies. All arrangements for safety, security and privacy promotes group studies and provides facilities for learning outside classrooms. The Hostels provide the students with excellent Mess facilities where food is cooked in hygienic and clean environment. Round the clock electricity and water supply is maintained. Telephones with local and STD facilities are also provided separately in both the Hostels.

Class Rooms - The Class Rooms are spacious and well lit by natural light and provide a panoramic view of the campus. They are being provided with the latest teaching aids like Green Boards, Slide Projectors, Overhead and L.C.D. Projectors, etc.

Library - The Library has a good collection of about 15,000 books of foreign and Indian authors. It subscribes various a number of National and International Journals in various disciplines of Engineering, Science, Mathematics and Humanities. The Library subscribes various Technical Magazines, English and Hindi Newspapers and a good collection of CDs on different subjects of student's interests. The Library is equipped with Xerox Machine, Overhead L.C.D. Projectors. It also has a spacious and airy reading room of about 100 students. The Library will be fully computerized in coming time. It also enjoys back-up facilities from American Centre and British Council Library. A special feature of the Institute library is the "Book Bank" facility.A student can get the required number of books for one semester by depositing a very nominal amount. This takes off the burden of purchasing the books by the students.

Computer Centre - The College has a state-of-the-art Computer Centre is equipped with 400 computers with Pentium IV nodes. They are connected via LAN. The centre is integrated with all the technologies like Windows XP, Windows NT, Netware and Linux. It has software like C, C++, Oracle/D2K, Visual Studio, JDK, AutoCAD, SAP to mention a few. It has Internet facility available to all the staff and students.

Laboratories - Various Departments have their own Laboratories catering to the needs of the students.

Seminar Hall - The Institute has a well designed and appropriately furnished Seminar Hall. The Hall is fitted with Audio-Video Projection System and has provision of Slide Show, L.C.D. and O.H.P. Projectors. It is also equipped with a sensitive, high fidelity public address system to facilitate speakers and participants. Conference, Group Discussions and Guest Lectures are arranged in the Seminar Hall.

Career Management Cell - Aligarh College College Of Engineering and Technology has an independent Training & Placement Cell which caters to the needs of organizations in conducting Campus Interviews for Placements. The Training & Placement Cell provides the best arrangements and hospitality for the visiting companies officials. The College offers diverse and well-placed career opportunities sharpens, rough edges of budding engineers and committed to give a professional education to the student to ensure their Placement.
