Course Overview:-

B.Tech in Information Technology is four Year full time graduate degree program, comprising two semesters each year, approved by AICTE and affiliated to U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. The vision of the IT department is to be the leading provider of state of the art technologies and services in support of excellence in learning. The mission of the IT Department is to support our Institute by providing quality maintenance, IT support, and application development for district employees who use Student and Business Systems.

Information Technology Department value service, integrity and leadership. The IT department is committed to provide high quality of service by implementing defined, repeatable and measurable processes and procedures aligned with industry best practices. Our goals are to: raise our current level of support through the most cost effective means possible; improve management and support all business and student applications; and complete the implementation of a project management office within the IT Department to manage the portfolio of district technology initiatives.

Information and Technology has an immense potential in the domestic as well as in the global corporate world. The IT engineering department caters knowledge and expertise to the young professionals having a flair for information technology, to use the skill and knowledge for the betterment of the humanity.

Curriculum is based upon U.P. Technical University, Lucknow. The important subjects taught are: Multimedia, Internet Technology, Operating System, Design of Algorithms, Compiler Design, Object Oriented Programming, Software Engineering, Computer Networks etc.

The students are put on various software development projects based upon latest requirements of industry.

Admission Procedure:-

Eligibility Criteria for Direct Admission

Qualified candidate of UPTU-SEE/AIEEE & having qualifications to appear in UPTU-SEE and / or 60% in total (55% for SC/ST) of aggregate in compulsory & optional subject and min. 40% (35% for SC/ST) in each compulsory and optional subjects.

• Physics & Mathematics (At Intermediate Level)
• Chemistry, Bio-Technology, Computer Science, Biology (At Intermediate Level)

Domicile Requirements : Candidates, who have passed the qualifying examination from an institution located in the State of Uttar Pradesh and who do not claim for any reserved category are eligible for admission to all the courses at all the institutions against available General (OPEN) seats (No certificate required). Candidates from reservation category are required to submit Domecile Certificate.

* Candidates who have have passed the qualifying examination from an institute located outside U.P. please discuss before allowing admission.

Labs:-

The department is committed to provide high quality education with value addition in the field of Information Technology. The Department aims to be the center of excellence and endeavors to contribute significantly towards meeting the growing demands of competent professionals in cutting edge technology. Seven fully air conditioned computer labs, are taking care of practicals in the department. The computers are interconnected with centrally structured LAN, which in turn is connected to Internet.

The department runs various in-house training programs in emerging areas to enhance the technical skills of the students. The well structured internet with high speed servers is the back bone for running professional networking courses.

The college has a number of ultra-modern state of art labs and workshops where the young professionals learned and practice to implement theoretical knowledge into practical use. The specially designed and well equipped labs and workshops are regularly upgraded as per the requirements of the syllabus and as per the global demand of fast changing technological know - how's. The labs and workshop provide ample opportunity to the students to understand, unfold and unravel technology for the cause of humanity.
